    Talking Grcym. Lovely Melody

Here is my neat new plant, it is a cross of Cymbidium ensifolium and Gramytophyllum scriptum. I have never had anything like either of these species before, so I am excicted to see how I do with it.

It has a nice lemon/magnolia smell when it is warm. Lots of flowers/buds on the spike, with a second spike developing.

    Thanks for looking!

What a lovely large plant! the flowers are gorgeous and I like the sound of the magnolia smell. Great purchase now to find room for myself if I come across one of these beauties LOL

My boyfriend just gave me this lovely orchid. I haven't smelled any fragrance as of yet, but there is something strange forming on the pedals... it appears to be little droplets of clear sticky sap. Can anyone tell me- is this normal?! I've never had an orchid do this so it's very odd to me. Thanks!

Generally the sap means the plant is happy. Often it is found on new growths or flower spikes. I have never tasted it, but others have and said it is sweet!
