the interesting thing about this plant is the silver markings, on the tops of the leaves, can be rubbed off but on Maxillaria reichenheimiana they can't.
It was named in honour of M. Moritz Reichenheim, of Berlin, a professor who was an orchid enthusiast in the 1800's.
The pseudoreichenheimiana was named for the leaves resemble Maxillaria reichenheimiana
