    Default Cirrhopetalum nutans

    hi forum,

    finally my first cirrhopetalum ( bulbophyllum, since they are put together) started blooming.
    unfortunately, its not a stinker nor does it have a fragrance at all, coz im a sniffer unlike my twin brother here.

    anyway, im happy with this one!

    Awe Ron that is gorgeous! And the fact it isnt a stinker gives it plus points from me, I do love this family of orchids. Thanks for the photos and great growing, well done!

    I like your Cirrhopetalum. That species is very floriferous, btw.

    I like how Bulbo nutans presents it's flowers at the end of long, dark colored spikes. NICE! thanks bro!

    yeah, i was wondering also how long the spikes would grow and grow..., but you are right, they look nice especially when a little breeze comes in.

    thanks tim,
    to be honest, i was a bad daddy at first, totally forgot about my little babies and they got wayyyyy toooo much direct sun, until they looked like raisins, so i more or less gave up, but put em in a shady place and to my surprise, a month later they started spiking.

    so how was that for a shock treatment? but it somehow worked...
    what a wonderful orchid world!
