Amey, where I am, it can get down to 6 celsius but only for an hour or so just b4 dawn, but that quickly goes up to about 9 celsius... and during the day, it is usually around 14 celsius but lately, we've had constant 19 celsius... it's been a really mild winter this year.. I do hope this warmth doesn't also translate to summer.

Ron, this cross was created by a friend who owns the nursery here, and was only registered in 2008. The cross itself was done in 2002! So I guess it took six years from the toothpick elven to the flower fairy.
Yes, that’s the best in this way of growing this beauties.

5 inches means 12 ou 13 cm? WOW
And the flowers appears to be much more open (flatted) than the others cymb. that I’ve seen here. Yours is very beatifull. Keep enjoying it as you said, this is great for making one healthier.

Ron, they have Paphs, but I am trying not to go into the Paph greenhouse so I can save money

Thanks Angie, Rosalia for the kind words... I do hope it likes it here.. I'd actually like to cross this with another Cymbid I have that is just opening.. will see if that takes, it will be my first attempt to hybridize a Cymbid.
