    Default Gongora galeata

I got this one labeled as Gongora cassidea. G. galeata, along with the other "arcuate-pendulous" Gongora (amparoana, armeniaca, cassidea, horichiana, tridentata, and maybe one other), is a part of Section Acropera, which is sometimes elevated to genus Acropera. Under Acropera, I think it would be named Acropera loddigesii. Information thanks to Jay's Orchid Encyclopedia (IOSPE). The Acropera certainly have a different kind of look than the other Gongora.

If you think this might not be G. galeata, please let me know what you think it might be, and why.

I just checked, and didn't find one. But the flowers are faded already (I didn't take the pictures today), so I'm not positive. But I don't think so.

If this one is gongora galeata flava/ common it should have nice scent. Cirrhea sps unlikely. I think belong to gongora species probably semi alba form can see brown stripes on the column.

The first pic is stunning. I don't know much about gongoras but I've seen them and I like their blooms. Some remind me of flying dragons or birds.
