Default Goodyera pubescens - Downy rattlesnake plantain

The final Arkansas Native Orchid that we found today was the most impressive in my opinion. It is called Goodyera pubescens and it is a jewel orchid. I have images of both the blooms (not that fantastic, but cool to find) and the foliage (really awesome). I took so many photos, I am going to have to reply to my own thread to share the 5 I narrowed my choices down to - to share with you.

    Anyway, here is Goodyera pubescens

and a couple more shots. One to show scale and another to show how hard these guys were to spot out in the woods.
