A primary hybrid of Masd. tovarensis and Masd. meijiana. Compact plant that is in bloom most of the year. I am growing it in pure Sphag.
Is this a warm or cool growing orchid?
Oh, that is nice. Elegant.
nice delicate bloom...I'll get my masdevallias to bloom eventually....maybe this winter
It is beautiful, so pure looking. I really want a pure white one. I like the idea that it blooms a lot.
I have just started to grow Masdevilla again, after killing two a couple of years ago. I was growing them too warm. The one that really hurt was Machu Picchu, it had a special meaning for me because I had been there.
I have a couple on my wish list now, a pure white one, a pink one, and a pink /or red stripe one. I hope I can find those before our cold weather sets in.....it's almost here.
I read about a couple growers growing them in S/H. It sounds interesting but I'm afraid to try it. Have you grown any in S/H?
Marilyn...no I haven't tried this genus in S/H
very nice white Ron. lovely
I may be sorry, but I'm going to try one in S/H, possibly 2 for comparison. I like growing in clear plastic containers, in S/H. I know for sure when to water, and I can watch the root activity. Wish me luck. I'll report in 6 months. If they survive..............
