The Catasetum fimbriatum x tenebrosum is wonderful - I want it! All are really beautiful.

I like your catasetum pileatum Yew, very delicate. I also like the fimbriatum x tenebrosum, very unusual colours. Both beautiful

I also like the last one. May be smaller flowers but the color and lip makes them stand out. All are pretty though.

Beautiful and a BIG THANK YOU for this!

Now I am able to put a name on one of my plants which I knew was a catasetum all the time but was never able to identify until now.

Yes, I agree it is very fragrant and a prolific bloomer. I've always wanted to know what the exact name of the plant was and whether it was a hybrid or species. Now I realize that I've got a species plant after all.

I do have 2 more unflowered plants of fimbriatum x tenebrosum - very slow-growing, the runts of the brood, so to speak.Hope they turn into swans one of these days .....heehee....Of course not to be confused with the related genus Cynoches, the swan orchid. There have been a few a few intergeneric Catanoches here and most prabably will try to acquire at least one .

I also have another ctsm, Ctsm Tunku Zainab Petra [ Sumani x fimbriatum] , a real tough cookie that survived through the period when I neglected my collection, while many others perished. It blooms regularly. The flowers are green with tiny brown spots - and they look like birds[not swans] in flight. Bees love them! Will post pics when it blooms

hi, i know this is a rather old thread. just bump across the pic while i was googling for some catasetum pics.
the catasetum tenbrosum x catasetum fimbriatum = catasetum jumbo tycoon
    and the
catasetum pielatum 'icy green', is not a pileatum, definitely a cross, most likely it is a clowesetum
