    @Amey-- If I sent it to you, what would I do with all the space I just cleared for it? lol .....But of course I'll keep your greenhouse in mind. You got room for a couple of cymbids with 34 and 36 inch leafspans? Or maybe a fiddle leaf fig tree?..... :-P

    @Yew Sung-- Yeah, I should've taken a picture of this at the nursery when it had all of its spikes. It was much more impressive. We'll see here in about 10 months if it can outdo itself.

    No I haven't. I was reading online that it bloomed twice for them in 5 years.

    Jeeze Laurent!!! Okay, so that is bigger than I thought it was in your first pic!! That basket would make a good closet or spare bedroom! Lol

    @Derek; Yes Derek it's an awesome sight when in bloom.In my more than 40 years being involved in orchids I've ever seen it in bloom only 5 or 6 times.The most impressive was a spike more than 6ft tall! The basal flowers numbering around 5 are different from the rest of the flowers. In our country Gram speciosum is called the Tiger Drchid.
