    Question Unsure, tiniest cattleya-like flowers

I ordered 28 cattleyas (3 and 4 inch pots) and with the shipment they gracefully included this complimentary miniature orchid. It has 3 blossoms and one opened yesterday, of which here are some photographs. Is is a very tiny and delicate orchid, the whole plant measuring about 10 inches. The blossom itself measures about 1.5 inches in diameter. I find it interesting and very graceful so I thought I would share this with all of you orchid lovers! Does anyone know it's name?

    Cheers, Michael

Sadly I cannot help with a name but I can just drool over its beauty! It is adorable, my mini catt is bigger than that I think and I just blasted its first blooms in my care grrrr and I think it was totally my fault by letting it get too cold. I hope someone can get you a name for it as my other two mini catts I had one went to the big greenhouse in the sky and the other one is looking rather forlorn, I dont seem to be having any luck with these little beauties, I am glad you are letting us enjoy yours.

    Very pretty.

But, Central and South American beauties aren't my line of expertise.

It's a very pretty. Most likely a sophrolaeliocattleya cross.
There are so many different variations in red color forms that it may be difficult to identify ...
I found this picture online though, that looks similar to yours. Who knows?

I think it's more like Otaara Hidden Gold. I got a couple of pictures when it bloomed for me, I can post some of them for comparison when I get home.
