    Default Mystacidium Capense first flowers

First flowers on Mystacidium Capense. I can't take any credit for growing it, it's just one of the orchids I rescued from a tree that was struck by lightning and fell over.

Thanks everyone, these particular orchids need to be rescued often. The citrus farmers don't like them growing on their trees (no clue why). I'm always happy to get out the old hard hat and boots and go and save an orchid. I rescued one that had seedpods on it, I have recently flasked some of the seeds. Looking good so far.

Cool Dudley, I have 6 of them my self we got them in Grahamstown many years ago.
we found them on my uncles farm funny enough he was a citrus farmer but he did not mind them but was cutting down some trees and there they where we were in the right place at the right time. If I remember correctly it was in 1992?

Very cute little orchid and flower. How lucky you are Dudley to rescue a 'naturally mounted' orchid!
