Another... Aerides quinquevulnera var. Minuta, an undescribe variety. I named this variety as Minuta because of its minute sized small flowers and its spurs are short and not pointed compared to ordinary Aerides quinquevulnera. It is found in the high altitudes from Luzon. It has a slightly strong spicy fragrance. The flowering for this one is from October to November...

Your Aerides is really beautiful. I like the soft pinkish/purple and white coloring.
What a cutie! I love pink freckles!
your pix are getting better!
I'm trying to improve my photo shots so everybody will be interested in orchids. I dont have a digital camera, I only used cellphone camera it has lesser resolution.
In which journal or recognised orchid magazine was the new varietal name published? If I know this then I can include it in the next edition of The Orchids of the Philippines, which is nearing completion.
The Orchids of the Philippines
Times Editions 2001
I didn't get the name from any orchid magazines and the name was not yet published but I just named it to identify and separate it from ordinary Aerides quinquevulnera in my private collection purposes. But if someone has already named this variety from Northern Luzon, I would probably change the name in my collections. I loved this variety, my favorite, it has slight sharp citrus scent. A petit variety of Aerides quinquevulnera.
