Not a spectacular pic but the little devil has sent up 3 spikes so I figured the least I could do is take a pic of one of them

It is cute, Paul. Is the plant very large? Ours stays so small, but I have seen some at shows that get huge.

    Cheers,

Sounds fair. Nice, clear pics of such tiny flowers.

Paul, what are you growing this guy in - medium? Ours is planted in potting soil with some sponge rock and maybe that is why it is not doing so well and stays so small.

    Cheers,

I wouldn't say so, Bruce. I have seen ones far larger and better filled out at show. Here's another -- though, again, not great -- pic of mine. The pot, by the way, is a 6 inch (15cm) diameter pot.

In all honesty I don't quite remember, Bruce. It has been in this media for years. If I remember correctly it is potting soil w/ large grade perlite and some orchid bark. Judging by the distance between leaves, mine could probably use a tad more light. However, it has been growing in its current location (on the red soapstone dish on the left) better than it has in any other location thus far so I hate to move it.

    Wow, that is pretty.
Ours is long like yours too, but it is only in a three inch clay pot. I would like it to fill out more (if that is possible). I have seen some at shows that are really full. I think maybe ours needs more light. Maybe tomorrow if I can get out there, I will snap a shot and let you tell me what you think.

    Cheers,
    BD

    Default Haemaria Discolor

    Hi again,

I decided to just go out to the greenhouse and snap some shots tonight. Anyway, here is the little one I have been speaking about. I was surprised to find a bud. I hope it blooms!!
