Default 2 no id species, philippines

    hi folks,
first of all a happy new year to all!!!

a friend of mine sent me those pix to help him out identifying those.
plants came probably from the southern luzon or mindoro region.

the first 2 pix (same plant) i would guess eria or dendro of some sort.
    last pix probably thrixspermum.

    appreciate any input!

Cool looking bloom, Ron. Hopefully Jim Cootes will see this post and get you an identification!

    Hi,

The first two photos is an Eria specie but the last photo it looks like an ally of Vanda or Dendrobium, Jim Cootes will surely identify these species. I'm not that kind of expert to Eria and to some Luzon Dendrobium.

    Thanks,

    DC

    Greetings all,

The second one is Thrixspermum cootesii, which was named for me, in mid 2009 by my good friend Wally Suarez, in the Australian Orchid Review.

I am surprised (to say the least) to see these 2 species on the forum, as I thought there were only a couple of us who had them in our collections.

Anyway it does not matter, as they are both nice orchids. Just like the guy for whom they were named. Hehehehehe.
