    Default Dendrochilum Graminifolium?

    Hi,

Bought this one as Dendrochilum spec.
It was in 'its prime' one or two weeks ago.

I looked at all the dendrochilums in 'Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia' and the one that seems to come closest is 'Dendrochilum graminifolium'. Any 'expert' to confirm?

    Cheers,

    Rudy

    Hi Ron,
I'll try to take another picture when I have some daylight.
That may not be until Saturday. Hope there are some flowers left by then.
And it will be a bit of a challenge with my camera to take a close up of these tiny flowers.
    Cheers,
    Rudy

The plant is in great shape and what a gorgeous display. Every dendrochilum I have owned (is dead, now ) always got the brown leaf tips... I assume they are all very sensitive to water quality. I have shied away from getting another....I really do hate killing them Yours is beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

From what I can see of your plant and the flowers I believe it could be Dendrochilum stenophyllum. This species is a native of the Philippines.

I had my daughter working on some close-ups during the daytime.
Very difficult job.. The flowers are only a couple of millimeters in size and we don't have the right camera equipment.
