I took a close-up shot of the flowers but the color didn't turn out right because of the lighting(rainy day). Here is a close-up from last year:

LOL! Not my favorite genus(yet) but I do have few Eria species in my collection. This one is the biggest one of all.

Do you know much about Eria, Ron? There are some nice miniatures in that Genus. Here are few that I have in my collection:
The first two species are tiny--about 1.5"-2" tall. The third one is about 4" tall. The last one is about 10" tall but not compact.

    hi tom,
na, dont know much yet about eria's, still have at least 7 species which i havent seen in bloom.
in our region we have quite big ones and i cant take em in.
will post soon the eria ornata (dendrolirium), which is a very showy one even without bloom, and not too big either, including spike maybe 30 cm, something you could try.

well, so far your collection is outstanding!

    Tom
thats one good looking eria you've got there... and also those last set of photos are really
nice. Anyways, just want to ask... eria's are supposed to have black woody roots right?
coz mine is, but they're not dying so i assume thats the case. Oh and how ofter do you
water yours and what media are you using?
