    Actually C.clausus endemic to Sumatra and Indochina but this one in Malaysia, when I compare this two species mine doesn't have pink or violet on the lip, might be new species to me,thanks Phil.

    Colouration doesn't matter for differentiation between species. The distribution range of a lot of orchids is not known and I won't speculate that this could be a new species.

    Hi Zainal,

    very interesting plant! Did you find it insitu? When I compare it to my Cryptochilus clausus, which is in bloom now, I thinkyour plant is something different. Could you please show us some more closeup pictures of the flower. I will show some photos of my plants for comparison soon.

    Yes,Martin, the plants attached strongly on the tree branch with the aerial roots hanging on the air exactly like vanda, While I meet this species there were no flowers at all just only long bean (fruits) initially I thought pteroceras but when come to blooms than I realized new species. Right now I'm outstation will be backed on Sunday evening and try to post on that day thank you really appreciate it.

    Martin I really enjoy your photos and now I can differentiate between this two species,the photos as depicted by Jays Orchid Encylo. was not thorough so I had some difficulty to commend.Mine totally different from clausus in term of lip detail.Thanks again your plant really very healthy and stunning.Zain

    Hmm, I have to admit that there are slight differences between this two individuals. The hypochil has a different shape and the margin of it. I'm not sure if it's an own species, maybe only a variety.

    @Zain
    Maybe you could preserve some flowers in spirit with 5% glycerin. I'll contact some people and try to get a name for this one.
