I've had this orchid for about 7yrs and this is it's first bloom. I think it's cute, but have no idea what it is. Can you help?

Wow Mary..7 years and this is your first bloom? I fry mine and give it direct sun. Yours looks very healthy but I can tell from the leaves you aren't giving it the sun it loves.

Yep, keep this guy very bright. Leaves and pbulbs should have a red'ish tint on them.
You guys are right about the sun.Since I had no idea what it was until Clint gave me the ID I kept it in morning sun only. But it's in full sun now. Thanks for all the nice comments.
Hi Mary, That is just lovely! I especially like the encyclias, and so I looked that one up. It should have a slight scent, and is a species from Central America. Wish I had one... Betty in Texas
