    Hi Ron,

    Your plant is not Dendrobium distichum, it is a Dendrobium thysanophorum. I have also the plant you have but it is now dying due to excessive dehydration in our area, no water.
    Dendrobium thysanophorum has flat leaves and also it has extended stem. Dendrobium distichum produces compounded flowers. Dendrobium thysanophorum produces flowers per leaf nodules and also it keeps on produces many keikis on the extended stem.

    It is an alba form of its kind. This plant likes moist drain, partial shade, and best planted in basket. It would be likely best some are mounted in moss or coconut fibers ("Bunot") if the condition of the place is very cool.

    Hmm thats how im growing it at the moment, its potted but nothing is in the pot
    except for a few pieces of broken clay pot. Maybe its just shock from change
    in environment. I meant to have it mounted tho but i ran out of slabs to use.
    Thanks alot for the help derek.

    thanks derek, that explains the confusion!

    @randy,
    try to keep your plant more on the moist/shady side, unlike mine.
