    Default Aerides odoratum

    Cheers,

Yesterday I finally was able to take a short leave from work so we went to
our favorite orchid place.... anyways I made a killing there and as always went
home with a car packed full of orchids. Mostly none blooming ones, but I was
lucky enough to snag a few blooming ones....

    Aerides odoratum
this one has 4 spikes sadly the blooms and spikes have been damaged during
transport, but still i was able to snag a few photo before it wilted this morning.
Can't wait for it to re-bloom in my care.

    Nice plant and flowers.
What kind of form is your plant, is it from Palawan or Mindoro or imported from Thailand?

Decoy, good question.... I was so excited when I found this plant (with 4spikes, and
cheap price) that i didn't bother to ask the question. But i doubt that this is imported as
they sell alot of native plants as well... its the first time i've dealt with them tho...

It is something it came from Palawan because it has huge flowers but this plant has paler petals and sepals which are rosy white.

Randy nice odorata you acquired there. Good thing I didn't see it before you did or else I would have beaten you to it.

Was that the only odorata with flowers on display? Or were there others? I didn't see any odoratas from the guys from Santa Fe so I assume it is from a different vendor.

Jojo, i got the odorata from a stall adjacent to the stall where i got the Onc. Josephine.
There are about 3 or 4 odorata's on display at that store and i decided to get this one as
this has 4 spikes with a keiki not to mention this is the largest one.
