    Default Scaphosepalum lima

    From the Latin lima, "a file", referring to the rough, rasplike peduncles.

    This species is found in Colombia at elevations of 1800 - 2500m. It is best grown mounted and under intermediate to cool conditions.The plant blooms sequentially and can bloom for 6-8 months!

    Scaphs are one of my favorite genera. Gotta love the "mustaches" over the gaping "mouth".
