    Definitely Rhynchostylis praemorsa.
    The flower spike is shorter than the Rhynchostylis retusa.

    Very lovely, I wish I have this kind.

    Thanks Decoy, so aside from the length of the spike how does this differ from retusa?
    As from what I gather this is retusa are the same.

    Rhyn. praemorsa is only a synonym for retusa. I wouldn't differentiate between them. The shown plant is Rhynchostylis retusa and nothing else.

    Rhynchostylis praemorsa has smaller flowers to Rhynchostylis retusa and coloration and markings are different. And it is endemic to Philippines whereas Rhynchostylis retusa and Rhynchostylis gigantea are only indigenous species of the Philippines but widespread over the Malesian Bio-Geographical Region.

    Randy that's a Rhyn. Praemorsa. I'm not sure if retusa and praemorsa is the same plant as I was told by Jun Golamco that those two plants are different and we do not have retusa in the philippines. R. retusa (and gigantea) is (endemic) from Thailand and have slightly bigger and thicker leaves if I am not mistaken.

    Indigenous means, it does occur in other places just what you've said.

    We do have Rhynchostylis retusa coming from our place and also Rhynchostylis gigantea. It's confidential, just to assure protection of our own species.
