    Very nice, I love the spotting in the lips and how the petals looks like that it has been sprinkled with crystals.

    I agree, though to be honest, i have never heard of it before. Is it a northern hemisphere species? we dont have many if any (save the asian speciesand central american species) here in new zealand.

    I do love Thrixpermum species, just one thing I don't like of this genus is most of them just last for one day.

    Are these all pictures of the same flower? Because in one the top (dorsal?) sepal is reflexed back almost all the way - in the shot into the throat of the flower, but in others it's upright or even seems to curve forward...
    It's a very interesting bloom- so much going on on so little real estate, and such a clear photo that makes it possible to see all that...I love the diamond dust, and the freckles, and the fuzzy hairs too.

    i also thought its 2 different plants and/or species.
    second one looks like t.amesianum, which we previously thought its t.wenzelii.
