    Default Dendrochilum

Got this one last weekend and since I've lost all of my Dendrochilum last summer
I decided to give it another try.... I've got a feeling that it might be glumaceum
but im not so sure. Also I noticed that flies love to hang out with the flowers.

    very pretty delicate golden fronds...
I wish you better luck this time round. I tried a dendrochilum many years ago and killed it thoroughly and well.

This type of orchid has overwhelming fragrance, I cant take it when I smell them in meters away that makes my nose irritated.

    Randy and Ron,

The reason why these are so difficult to grow is because these plants are from the cool mountain forest areas. I also have a Dendrochilum which was huge when I got it the first time a few years ago but the growth is very slow and I notice that new growths get smaller and smaller. I don't think they are suited for lowland areas.
