It looks like a Aerides lawrenciae var. Punctata, it has spots.

    Very rare.

But if this one is a crossed between Aerides lawrenciae var. Sanderiana (yellow green) and Aerides lawrenciae (common type), well, definitely you have a beautiful Aerides hybrid.

    Self-pollinated I think?

All my Aerides in Bukidnon are now starting to show off the flower spikes.

I will update you guys when I get there again to take shots on them.
I simply adored them almost as part of my finest orchid collections.

That's a nice Big plant you've got there Randy.

Good for you that you got it flowering. Mine seems like it takes forever to get to spike even though I've transferred it to brighter spot and a higher location (on my third floor laundry area).

It would be interesting to see the variety/difference(s) of Aerides lawrenceae coming from Mindanao (Bukidnon) area.

Just last week I was able to get hold of a few plants of Aer. lawrenceae from Mindanao from a local vendor who brings plants in from there (not sure of the exact location but I strongly suspect that it is also from Bukidnon area) so I've separated that clump from the rest of the lawrenceae that I have from Luzon area.

Oh these lawrencea are very tolerant plants. They can be mounted in an open basket or to wooden branches - just make sure it is hardwood and not from trees whose trunks tend to be very smooth and/or acidic (like guava, mango, tamarind, etc.). They like plenty of bright light but no direct noontime sunlight. Plenty of watering but make sure that the drainage is excellent that is why I suggested open basket or tree limbs where it can attach itself. Also they like to be hung high so that they can grow well and their roots can grow and flower well. Maybe at least 6 feet high?
