    My understanding is that the var. carnea is a pinkish salmon color. I'm partial to the darker forms of Laelia purpurata, so I love the coloring of this cross.

    The shape is amazing too. I can't stop drooling over it!

    Ron, a very pretty & unusual flower, great color. I agre with ang709, the lip color isn't what I would think was from 'carnea', more like 'werkhauserii" or a strong colored form of purpurata.

    i've seen pix of darker carnea, but also the salmon pink colored form.
