Megi affected most the upper Northern Luzon grid.
Central and Southern Luzon weren't so much affected. In fact, if one didn't pay attention to the news, you would think that it's just seasonal rain here in Manila. Surprisingly, we got more bright sunny skies this time around with episodes of sudden, light to medium rain in between then the skies would clear up again. I don't know later in the evening if the rains will start getting worse but there appears no indication of it happening and it is already past 6:30 pm as I write this post.
Really strange granting that this is supposed to be a super typhoon where the Signal has been raised to #4 for the Cagayan and Isabela region up in the North. Hmmm .... perhaps the cyclone might have sucked up all the rain clouds and strong winds toward that area to its center that's why it isn't felt so much here in Manila which is quite unusual. In the past we had so much weaker storms but one would witness torrential rains pouring! Just like the storm "Ondoy" in the past where that was such a weak storm but brought terrible disaster, destruction and loss of lives here in Luzon with its unbelievable amount of rain!
Really weird and unpredictable these storms ....
