    Default Maxillaria variabilis (dark form)

    As Branka and Tom mentioned earlier, this species comes with a rather broad spectrum of different colored flowers. If the sun is not shining directly into the blossum, this flower appears to be almost black.

    I love this variety, mine currently shows 9 new growths which I presume will be flowers and like yours they are nearly black.
