    Mietek, great flowers! Love it!

I don't want to be picky, but are you sure this is mooreana. The shape of the lip looks much more like C cristata. Where do the flowers come from: the base of the pseudobulb, or the tip of the bulb peeking out between the new leaves. In the former case, it is almost definitely cristata.

Lars, no problem. The pseudobulbs of my plant are around 10 cm long and the leaves 30-35 cm long. The inflorescence is peeking out between the new leaves. The pseudobulbs of Ceologyne cristata are more like small balls. It's for sure not an cristata.

    Hi Mietek,

Your plant is a hybrid of Coelogyne cristata and possibly Coelogyne mooreana. The floral segments of Coelogyne mooreana are flat as is the shape of the flower. Another difference is that the inflorescence of Coelogyne mooreana is upright, arching only near final half to third of its length.

I am sure a quick search on Google will provide images of what a true Coelogyne mooreana looks like.

    All the best,

    Jim Cootes
