Cool Bulbophyllum miniatum - tiny bloom to share

I think this must be the smallest orchid bloom I have in my collection. I have been growing the plant for quite some time, but do not remember ever seeing the blooms - just plenty of old spikes. NOW-I know why. This cute little orchid has tiny blooms.

And here is one to show the scale. I was watering this morning and 'felt' the spike and thought it was a root at first. Upon closer inspection, I saw the tiny bloom and had to go and get my camera.

This is very exotic looking and so little, I can see how it would be hard to miss. I absolutely love the feather like bottom! It is almost as if the bloom is wearing a skirt, good eye Bruce. I it!

what a cutie BD.... good thing you noticed it, maybe it is trying to catch your attention when you "felt" the spike.

Is this Bulbophyllum barbigerum? From what I remember, Bulbophyllum miniatum has been renamed to Bulbophyllum tingabarinum and it is a cirrho type plant.

I will have to look it up in Orchidwiz to see if that is correct. It is not on this computer, so it will be tomorrow before I can check.
