I was very disappointed when my Gongora unicolor flowers began to turn as well. The ones on the tip were barely open and the earlier ones were already beginning to turn. I thought I had messed them up and then a fellow from my local club said he had the same thing happen. Sometimes fleeting time with a flower makes it more special. Just like Branka's recent photos of that little guy.

Jordan: I believe it was Geoff that posted two or three months back that most of the Gongora"s last about a week, so this is what I am expecting from my Gongora Histrionica. Don your comments on "fleeting time" are absolutely true. One way or another when my Gongora does bloom I want to take some time and just stare at the flowers. AL

I recently found out that there is room for 8 more orchids. If you move them all around a bit.

Both are very nice orchids, Jordan. Wish I could grow masdavallias here, but it gets way too hot.

    Cheers,
