Default Chiloschista segawae is my first orchid in bloom.

I said, when I introduced myself to the forum, that my previous experience of trying to grow orchids made Chicago on St. Valentine's Day look like a picnic.

However, my first ever 'home grown' plant is in flower. Not impressive like a Cattleya or Paph, in fact very small and sweet (bit like OH) but it is my first one that I haven't bought already in flower and I am very proud of it. I am taking OH out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Hope she remembers to bring her purse.

You may have had problems the first time around, but you've obviously figured it out now. Congratulations - enjoy a well-deserved dinner out!
