Really cool orchid, Daniel. How do you grow this one? I remember Steve (The dragon ) posting one that was growing in situ. I really like the cool bloom shapes and the cluster of blooms.

    Cheers,
    BD

Cool shot Daniel, is this plant in the wild or in your garden?

The plant was growing in the wild and the photo was taken just after a rain that's why the flowers are wet ...

It's a European orchid of course. Also grows ( apart from Portugal) in England. I used to see it when I lived at my last house, in the Cotswolds.
But I have just been reading the Orchid Digest - latest issue. I didn't have much interest in most of the issue - when OD is good, it is very very good, but when it is bad it is awful. The one redeeeming feature for me, this quarter, was a piece about Charles Darwin, including quite a bit about this orchid on which he did quite a lot of work, apparently ; we stand on the shoulders of giants, in our orchid knowledge ! . Worth reading if you can get it.
