I find the blooms of this species to be a bit worse than Bulbophyllum nymphopolitanum. Nevertheless, this is one of the easiest to identify of the Philippine members of section Lepidorhiza- vegetatively the broad leaves which taper abruptly into the petiole and the sub-globular, robust pseudobulbs are a give-away. Florally the flowers on short inflorescences are quite sizable, with papillae distributed evenly on the labellum.

Attached is a photo of my plant, with blue-bottle flies enjoying a sniff:

orchid I've ever smelt. Which worries me now, since I have a Amorphophallus too.
But I bought it anyways since its hard to let go of a beautiful stinky orchid.

When we got home, I asked the wife if she could smell it, but she declined, so I decided to
take another sniff at it, and boy its stinkier this time than the first... I almost vomited
since it kinda left a foul taste in my mouth.... but still it gets special treatment for being
    Mr. Stinky.
now that you mentioned the smell, i wouldn't dare smell it, but would love to have one given a chance to see someday at out local flea market
