    Default Robiquetia spathulata

In my book thias is in the curious rather than beautiful class, butalthough I love orchids which will make a good display in my house or on the plant table or show table, I have room for some curiosities, too. The plant lost a few lower leaves, and was growing in a rather hunch back distorted sort of way, so I chopped it down and replanted the top half ( or 1/4 or whatever - not very much, anyway ! ) and was surprised that it still flowered ;p but it has way to go to eb a specimen . Thats a six inch basket its gropwing in, so flowers maybe 1/4 inch wide, only. But dozens maybe over a hundred of them by the time the flowering raceme (?) is 4 inches long.

It has what you say it has Geoff, and that is a lot of character. It more than other orchids seems to go its own way. AL
