    Default Encyclia radiata

Go on, I know, tell me I've got the genus wrong , I'm out of date, just a silly old buffer, everyone knows it's something else , except that I cant spell Prosthechya in a way which looks right, can't pronounce it without spraying you with saliva, and what the h*** I've grown it as Epidendrum radiata since before you were born ( probably) so just be happy I've got one of it's no doubt many changes right...and you did know what I meant, did you not ?

If you've grown it since before I was born . . . that's one OLD encyclia! Regardless - it's beautiful! (And thanks for the humorous way to teach us some more!)

Mine is in bud now too Geoff. Love the blooms on this orchid. I think the proper name today is Prosthechea radiata, but that could change before I finish typing this sentence.

    cheers,
    BD

Probably one of the best photographs I have seen close up on this Encyclia radiata. Definitely near the top of the wish list. Thanks for posting this Geoff. AL

Ha Ha Geoff! I have a similar problem with an orchid I've been meaning to post, but don't know what to call it for fear of exposing myself as a ninny. The tag says "Epi. Green Hornet" and I'm not even entirely sure it is still a hybrid.

Call it lovely, that should cover it.
