betty, if you mean the cloisonne vases and bowls, there is, but it is so hard to tell whats a real antique... when i was traveling around southern china i was taking pictures on the outskirts of a village, there i saw how amazing and talented people can be...most of the village was hard at work hand carving wood, making bowls, painting scrolls, metal work...everything...and then they would bury the stuff!!! they had various methods for aging things for quick sale in a local tourist/backpacker town... the stuff i see here is still very beautiful!!

Yes, that is typical. They were doing that in Korea ( Mary's Alley, in Seoul ) over 45 yrs. ago. As always, money is the bottom line...Thanks for the info...have a great time, and get home safe! Betty :-)

Shane, who needs Google translations for such a easy language such as Latin. I mean if Homer could do it (or was that Homer Simpson), I can do it. You should hear me translate ancient Sumerian. Fortunately no one is still alive to object to my interpretations. AL

Shane, if Taipei is your home...that is wonderful! Great place to grow orchids; and a beautiful place to live. Somehow, I thought you lived here in the U.S. Sorry! Betty :-)

Al, you better have your fertilizers checked for heavy metals cuz that wasnt latin you were translating...it was puerto rican...in latin it says "shane saw that hooker at the epidendrum family reunion... '08"
as for your sumerian... just check the fertilizers, al, check em...

Shane; I have been accused many a time for using to much fertilizer, but never of using heavy metals (as in toxic waste!). I am therefore insulted and to defend my honor I call you out for a dual............using of course pistols at a range of 5000 miles. I suggest you choose your seconds sir! (I myself prefer mashed potatoes and gravy). How would 7 A.M. tomorrow be, (my time or your time, you pick). Please RSVP........Your loyal adversary, AL
