Can you put it right next to Psychopsis do you think? I am sure you already thought of that. I have a Oncidium Mendenhall Psychopsis myself and it has three new growths and four budded spikes. The last 4 years I have had it it has grown from a three inch pot to a 6 inch pot. Here's what I know. It gives up leaves slowly and is slow to grow them. In growth mode it loves water. In winter I water less, though I may experiment with the frequency of watering to see if I get more blooms. It gets indirect bright light and like most of my orchids, it has not been moved ever. This plant is notorious for resenting repotting! People are oh so careful in doing this. Most years mine blooms consecutively a lot. This year not since late fall. I don't know if this helps. I also want a big yellow variety. Isn't Psychopsis Papillo one of them? Good Luck! AL

Very nice lobbii !! Another one that needs to go in my must get list. I got a Psychopsis a couple of days ago to replace the one that I lost last year. Soon I'll also get the alba form.

Shane how can you resent someone like me who is out to help you? I mean after reading your initial post on your Psychopsis orchid you sounded disoriented and confused. Now after this therapeutic purchase, you sound as if all that was a muddle is clear again. Meaning your clearly broke, clearly insane, and clearly needed a 'orchid' fix. I look forward to the photos of your newest member of the family. AL

my 12 step told me that you are an enabler, sir, and that i would be well advised to stay clear of such flippant, flower philandering folk as yourself!

Nice flower! It's always extra great when an orchid blooms for the first time.
