    Default Maxillaria tenuifolia

Got this one 2 years back and its pretty much blooms at this time of the year, this time I
noticed the coconut fragrance first before seeing the bloom, just a bit disappointed that the
bloom hasnt fully opened, most probably because the bloom is in between pbulbs. Anyways I
noticed that another bud is forming.

Even the plant smells like coconut, Randy. I love this orchid. Mine is stubborn about blooming. It puts out one or sometime three blooms at a time, but that is it. I want it to look like the one Cin (Moly Taco) has. I am so impatient. LOL.

    Cheers,
    BD

Nice flower and very neat plant.
I've got mine for 4 years now, it blooms every year in april and the flowers last till july. They have much darker red color. The fragrance is amazing!
My plant blooms very well but grows very slow. Maybe I should water it more often?

How often do you water yours?

I gather we're many to share the same problem. They're usually packed with flowers when you buy them, but last year I got only 3 flowers and this year 4.
My plant grows quite strongly though. Could there be a trade off between flowering and growing?
I also have the much darker variety.
