This orchid looses all leaves during the winter and produces flowers on fresh shoots that come out during spring.
The shoots die off during the second year.

Am not sure how difficult they are.
Last year I got keiki's rather than flowers.
But this year the 4 of us growing them in our local orchid society all got them flowering.
You must keep them really dry when the leaves are dropping off and continue not watering until the new shoot is out (altogether this lasts at least 3 months).
When the shoot is about 10 cm high you also need to repot.
