    Default Bulbophyllum Valley Isle Queen

    B.Jersey ( of course - this is an Eric Young Foundation hybrid - they hang out in the Island of Jersey) x B.echinolabium.
    Its a monster flower, 10 inches from north to south when I hold up the dorsal petal as I do in one of these shots.
    Interestingly, the spike is from last years bilb not this ; this years bulb is bigger too. Maybe a big bulb can carry two or more spikes ? We shall see,
    I think I rather like this one, although echinolabium is not a favourite.
