    Default My specimen Rhynchostylis retusas

When I posted my R. coelestis in another post, I realised I had not posted the pictures of my Giant retusas in bloom this year. All my vandaeceous are really loving the new greenhouse with more bright light and plenty of air movement. My retusas were no exception this time there were record no. of spikes and blooms, the last of which finally faded away this week. The plant in photo 3 was exceptional with 7 spikes in total, I guess it would easily get an award for cultural excellence.

Really quite extraordinary Amey, but please lets make this our secret. I have a Rhynchostylis retusa in spike and I know if people see mine versus yours I am going to here "Well why doesn't yours look like this."...lol...........Also you have to run home to India to see your orchids'. The way their blooming they are definitely calling to you. AL
