Here are a few photo's of my very first orchid bloom, an angraecum didieri. It's starting to get on the backside of being beautiful, but I am still a proud parent. The orchid bug has definitely bitten me hard, as during a trip to our favorite nursery yesterday I purchased five or six new orchids. It won't be long until my orchid collection outgrows my Bonsai collection, though I keep adding to it periodically as well.
Having fun growing all these things, Phillip

Congratulations nice snow white, mine bigger then this still no flower.
Congrats on such a lovely bloom.
Congrats to the proud father. Always rewarding after the constant care. Hope you get paternity pay!
The warty roots look quite nifty, IMO, when this species is grown on a mount. Lovely flower.
Thanks y'all I appreciate the compliments. While time accomplished the blooming, I have learned so much from coming here and I am very appreciative. I wish I knew more so I could actually be of some help instead of always being on the receiving end of all the advice, but give me time. I'm reading the posts and paying attention to what y'all say, and you see what happened? I still can't believe I have a bloom on an orchid yet. Thanks again, Phillip
Pavel, which Mount is that, Mt. Everest, Mt. Washington or Mt St. Helen's? Maura wanted to know because she is considering Mounting some of hers. hehehe Learning all the time!

Very Nice !
Congrats Phillip. 2 Orchidholics in the same house? Hmmmm. Who gets the prime growing space?
Maura says we share it, but since she has quite a few more orchids than do I, she gets some pretty good space. Please do not take that as a complaint though as most (excepting the two Angraecum sesquipedales) are small and require only a wee bit of space and she graciously gives me what I need. Outdoors, because my Bonsai's need full un, they occupy the prime space and my collection of them has grown to where I only have room for that one more special one.....
