Not a giant - here a 3 inch pot. Flowers maybe 5mm across , faint but pleasant scent , taste not known ( to me, anyway )

Okay, knowing this, I would taste it too - just to see if someone was pulling my leg or not. Beautiful orchid blooms regardless!

    cheers,

Very pretty Eria, Who goes around nibbling orchid at orchids ? Some mothers do have them, I suppose. But then we wouldn't have vanilla ice cream without them.

I thought that too , but knowing how ( in England) lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis) likes damp cool woods, I thought that it might not be know outside Uk. Obviously I'm wrong ..... must look it up - maybe it isn't even an English native ? heck , with 35000 orchids to learn and remember (joke) how can I be expected to know about Convallaria ?

I'm glad you mentioned this as I was curious as to why it was named as such.

Lovely closeup, Geoff! And it is a mini!
