Stanhopea oculata

    The tag says "Stanhopea oculata", and I guess this is right.

    I have a Coryhopea with this as one of the parents-its quite beautiful! A friend of mine has Stanhopea tigrina-that is one AMAZING orchid!

    Yes, it is a gorgeous orchid!
    Matt, I actually recieved a Stan. oculata from the greenhouse. It was misslabeled as tigrina, but now I know for sure it is oculata. It was a division made some years ago from the plant shown above. Mine hasn't bloomed yet though. I repotted as soon as I got it, and trimmed a lot of rotten roots, mabye it is still recovering, I don't know.
