i saw a very similar plant to this nailed to a tree outside of a pet shop and it wasnt being taken care of...i had dark thoughts about 'rescuing' it...but, alas, it withered to death before i could make my nocturnal liberation...sadness

    Default Ren auyongii ?

I posted these pictures more than a year ago for IDing but no definite ID was forthcoming. I took these pix at an acquaintance's garden in Ipoh and he said he had collected this plant from a hill in Gopeng but did not know its ID. I'm posting these again for comparison with your pix. Could this be a Ren auyongii too?

BTW your histrionica is very pretty, Abiom.

Abion, I'm quite sure, your second pictures shows Rhenanthera auyongi.
Yew, I'm wondering about the place, this plant was collected. My knowledge was, that Rhenanthera auyongi was collected by Datuk Auyong close to Kuching and that the habitat of this plant is already destroyed.
I saw a clump of this species, flowering, in his nursery. His son gave me a cutting, but unfortunately I've lost it. Bad luck.
