Yew, I'm wondering about the place, this plant was collected. My knowledge was, that Rhenanthera auyongi was collected by Datuk Auyong close to Kuching and that the habitat of this plant is already destroyed.
I saw a clump of this species, flowering, in his nursery. His son gave me a cutting, but unfortunately I've lost it. Bad luck.
Mietek,These pictures were taken at an acquaintance's ( met him thru a mutual friend for the first time) place. He had a whole clump if them growing on an old tree stump. He asked me for the ID but I told him that it was the first time I had seen it. He informed me that he collected it near his home in Gopeng,in the state of Perak, which is on the western side of Peninsular Malaysia. This place is quite hilly with a lot of swampy areas in the valleys. Btw he has a very large collection of BUlbophyllums that he has collected himself.
