Well worth the wait Nora. I adore these! and their remarkable evolution in relation to the Euglossa bees. Truly amazing! Those poor bees have to endure up to an hour sometimes of been imprisoned by this orchid inorder of pollination. Of course this is a tiny part of nature we may well never see again if we are not careful. Your bloom is very beautiful.!!!!

Awesome! looks like it belongs on mars.... I can see the shape of the Coryanthes plant in my Coryhopea, although it has used a different species. The shape of the p-bulbs and slightly the leaves shows through well in mine. Congrats!

Nice color on yours. Any fragrance, Nora?

I just wish there existed a mini species. *sigh* But, alas, there is not. Corys are one of the very few larger growers of which I have seriously entertained getting. The flowers would not win any beauty prizes, but they are sooooooooo cool!
