This is a discussion on Brassavola nodosa in the wild within the Orchids of Other Genera IN BLOOM forums, part of the Orchid Photography category; Further discussion show that the pic was taken on the Pacific side of Costa Rica ...
Further discussion show that the pic was taken on the Pacific side of Costa Rica - it sems that the Atlantic Grey Whale doesn't exist in the Atlantic anymore.- so I jumped to the wrong conclusions there ! .. but survives in the Pacific. I had a beach stay at a place called Tamarindo somewhere about the right location, some years ago, after spendingh time in the cloud forest in the interior, but never saw any sign of orchids .
Geoff I'm speechless, difficult to get those blooms here, I cant imagine the smell at night sure intoxication when we come close to that tree.
Wow!! Stunning. Thanks for sharing Geoff.
that nodosa is majestically grown... im going to show a photo this to mine so that it'll know what i want it to become.
