Holcoglossum wangii

This is a discussion on Holcoglossum wangii within the Orchids of Other Genera IN BLOOM forums, part of the Orchid Photography category; I could not get a good angle for the shot, but here it is....

    I think I could have lived without hearing that. I just noticed this spike about 3 weeks ago.

    A beautiful species, Naoki!

    Try H. kimballianum if you like to add more species from this genus. The plant looks very similar to H. wangii and It blooms for months(like sequential bloomer). It will get big in time though.

    Tom, I have it, but it does not bloom for me. They sit right next each other. I guess the wangii need some talk with the kimballianum.

    H. kimballianum isn't a difficult bloomer. Maybe yours is still too young. Mine is a space hog with 7-8 growths but I love those flowers.
